CTMOM will Provide Free Dental Services April 12 & April 13

The Connecticut Foundation for Dental Outreach has just introduced the Connecticut Mission of Mercy (CTMOM). CTMOM is a large scale, multi-chair dental clinic that travels around the state annually to under seved areas.  The concept is to create a multi-day dental clinic in a large facility and then open the clinic to the community. Dental Services will be provided to children, adults, and elderly who are without dental insurance and in a low-income situation.  Patients will be screened and treated based on their most urgent dental needs. The treatment is FREE.

CTMOM is staffed by volunteer dentists, UCONN dental students, dental hygenists, and dental assistants.  They will provide cleanings, fillings and extractions at no cost.

This years event will be held at the FORMER Tolland High School, 1 Eagle Hill Drive, Tolland, CT. on Saturday, April 12 from 5 am to 5 pm, and on Sunday, April 13 from 5 am to noon.  Get there early–people travel from all over and some have spent the night waiting in line.

Adopt A Soldier

Filed under: Stafford Town Hall news release — btw @ 11:43 am

“Adopt A Soldier”

The Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion would like the names of any soldiers from Stafford that are in a war zone (i.e. Iraq, Afghanistan) so that we can send them monthly, bi-monthly, care packages.  We know there are many items they are lacking and would like to be able to send them these things.  If you could provide their name and their families name and phone number, or address, we will contact the family for all additional information.  Please respond to Kim Post at kjpost@cox.net  Thank you.
